History

The keystone of the machine building industry focused on the production of machinery and injection moulds in the town of Chropyně dates back to 1949. At that time, the first machine workshops KOVO, which produced injection, forming and cutting instruments used with plastic materials, single-purpose machines, automatic forming machines and other additional products, had been built.

In 1964, a new machine works building and material storehouse, covering the area of 12.230 m2 and 1540 m2 respectively, had been build. Until privatization, both facilities had been the part of Technoplast Chropyně Co., on whose ground they still can be found today. The entire privatization process had been concluded by 13.8.1003, when the machine works, after the selection procedure, was sold to Chropyňská Machine Works Co., a.s., which had been founded by "Joint Stock Company One Time Founding Plan" on 23.12.1991.

On 3. 6. 1992, the company's name had been entered into the trade register maintained by a Regional Court in the city of Brno. The basic capital of 10 million CZK consists of 10.000 stocks of nominal value 1.000 CZK each.
